To enhance your travel experience, we have gathered a list of frequently asked questions that many guests have before their stay. This comprehensive guide aims to provide you with helpful information and address any concerns you may have, ensuring that your visit is as enjoyable and hassle-free as possible.

BOOKING & RESERVATIONS:

Check-in/Check-out: The standard check-in time is 3 pm, and the check-out time is 11 am.

Can I request early check-in or late check-out? Early check-in and late check-out are based on availability. If you arrive early at the hotel, we would be happy to store your luggage and notify you when your room is ready.

Special Requests: Can I make special requests for cribs or rollaway beds? What other amenities are available in the guest rooms? We offer the following (additional fees may apply):

Water carafes are conveniently placed in your rooms. If you need to refill your bottle, water filling stations are available on every floor. Additionally, hospitality stations offer cold bottled water, cookies, apples, and bagged ice. In-room tea service is available upon request.

AMENITIES & SERVICES:

Accessibility: Do you have accessible rooms? Yes, we do have accessible rooms. The Single King and Double King accessible guest rooms are designed to accommodate ADA guest needs without compromising the style and refinement you expect from Six South St. Don’t hesitate to contact our attentive staff with any questions or requests to make your stay more comfortable.

Pet Policy: Are pets allowed? Are there any restrictions or fees? We welcome well-behaved dogs in our limited pet-friendly rooms. Please mention your dog during the reservation process so we can accommodate both of you. Guests with dogs will need to sign the hotel’s Dog Acceptance Agreement (PDF), which contains additional information about our pet policies.

Parking: Is parking available, and what are the fees? We offer valet service with on-site, heated, and secure parking—an additional fee applies. Given our downtown location, it’s easy to walk around Hanover to shops, restaurants, and Dartmouth College campus. Downtown parking typically involves paid meters, which can be paid by card or a parking app. While EV charging is not yet available onsite, we are delighted to share that it will be introduced as a guest amenity in the near future.

Transportation: Do you offer airport shuttles or other transportation options? We do not offer an airport shuttle service, but we can recommend alternative transportation options, such as private car services or shuttles, for travel to and from the airport. The nearest airport to Hanover, New Hampshire, is Lebanon Municipal Airport (LEB), located just 5.32 miles away in Lebanon, NH. Other options include Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT), about 1.5 hours away, and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), roughly 2.5 hours away. 

Food & Drink: Is there a restaurant or bar? We serve breakfast daily, featuring specialty coffees, grab-and-go items like muffins and croissants, as well as hot and cold options, including breakfast sandwiches and parfaits. For dinner, Casa Brava Tapas, located at the Six South St Hotel in Hanover, offers a variety of Spanish tapas, including classic and creative dishes, along with a full bar and craft cocktail menu. The dress code is smart casual.

Fitness & Spa: Does the hotel have a gym, spa, or salon? Six South St Hotel provides 24-hour gym access featuring state-of-the-art equipment such as Precor® treadmills, elliptical trainers, Peloton® bikes, free weights, kettlebells, yoga accessories, and more. We do not have a spa or salon, but we would be happy to make local recommendations.

Internet/WiFi: Is WiFi available? High-speed internet is available free of charge in guestrooms and common areas.

Luggage Storage: Can I store my luggage before or after check-in/check-out? Yes, we are happy to store your luggage so you can enjoy your stay earlier or later.

Lost and Found: How Do I Report a Lost Item? Please contact the hotel directly by calling (603) 643.0600 or emailing sixsouthinfo@sixsouth.com.

DURING YOUR STAY:

Housekeeping: How do I request housekeeping? We offer daily housekeeping services, which include trash removal, fresh towels, making the bed, vacuuming, and a general refresh of your room. On the third night of each stay, we perform a complete change of sheets and towels. Turn-down service is not provided. Concierge Services: Can I get assistance with booking tours or reservations? While we don’t have a dedicated concierge team, our front desk staff is happy to offer recommendations for dining and activities.

Assistance: How do I contact the front desk or duty manager? Please call (603) 643.0600 for any assistance.

Smoking Policy: Is smoking allowed? In what areas? We are a non-smoking hotel. If you wish to smoke, please use the designated smoking area located behind the hotel.

Packages: Can I receive packages at the hotel? Yes, we can accept packages up to two days before your arrival. Please notify our team about the delivery, so it can be stored safely until you arrive. The address is: Six South St Hotel, 6 South Street, Hanover, NH 03755. Please include the name on the package to match it with your reservation.
